Whether at her home base in Boise, Idaho, or shooting at a beach resort in Mexico, Deborah loves nothing more than taking in her visual surroundings. You can find her on a hike watching the light play with forest leaves. Or carefully studying a mechanic's hands on the steering wheel of a vintage Jeep. She shoots for the likes of Hewlett Packard, Hilton, Paul Mitchell, L'UOMO Vogue, Sunset and other top brands. Her style captures unexpected moments of real and honest beauty that linger in the mind’s eye. Images hinting at a deeper story that sits just beneath the surface.
A Los Angeles native who grew up with the artful aesthetic of Southern California, Deborah finds as much inspiration in the streets of New York as the gorgeous mountains and waterways of the Northwest. Seeking out hot springs or the quiet of a warm summer evening. Her energy when shooting is comfortable, playful and caring. She’s invigorated by a fast multi-city lifestyle shoot, quiet on an old country road, relaxed and efficient managing a big crew.
