How long have you been in business?
Safe and Snug Pets was founded in February 2017.
What is your primary product or service?
Professional pet sitting services, including: Pet sitting, dog walking, pet taxi, overnight sitting and house security checks.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After three decades in law enforcement, I wanted an opportunity to start a business that still allowed me to help people. As a lifelong pet owner I knew first-hand how difficult it was to find reliable, trustworthy people to watch my pets when I went on vacation or had to work extended hours. Before I began accepting clients I completed an extensive certification course through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and took pet first aid classes from the American Red Cross. Safe and Snug was created to give pet owners an option for personal, professional pet care.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Safe and Snug Pets isn't interested in how many clients we can squeeze into a typical day, we are solely focused on the quality of care we provide to our pet's furry family members. My primary focus is making sure every pet is treated like our own. I'm certified as a professional pet sitter, registered with two respected national organizations (NAPPS and Pet Sitters International), licensed, insured and bonded. Safe and Snug Pets isn't a hobby or part-time job, it's a career and responsibility I take very seriously.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location. No expansion plans.
What type of payments do you accept?
All major credit cards, personal checks and cash.
Which areas do you service?
Safe and Snug Pets services all of Ada County...including Boise, Eagle, Meridian and Star.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I am owner, operator, chief pet guru!
What are your hours of operation?
We provide pet services 7 days a week. Office hours are typically Mon - Sat 9am - 6pm.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That their pets are happy to see me, and sad to see me go!
